RblWthACoz (959), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 12, 2008 Pours a foggy amber with a creme head. Nose is earthy hops. Flavor is robust and consistent leafy and salty hops. Minor bitter and sweet tang hits you on the back side. Smooth liquid and carbonation. Nice to drink. A bit too salty, IMO, but still a good production. hoppopotamus (84), Brooklyn, New York, USA Jan 16, 2008 Cascade hops but more so. Citrus and pine aroma, light floral notes. Pretty bitter, finishes like taking a bite of grapefruit bitbucket (1536), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jan 15, 2008 Hand-bottled by TomDecapolis. Thanks! Pours clear warm amber with a lacy white head. Sweet nose of fruit, pine resin, citrus and toffee. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Toffee-sweetened taste with light notes of citrus. Bitter-dry finish. after4ever (1696), Brier, Washington, USA Jan 13, 2008 12-oz., handbottle. Thanks, Bitbucket! Pours crystal clear medium amber with gold overtones. Dense moussy off-white head that falls quickly away leaving very little lace. Huge piney nose--first thing you think of is a Christmas tree. Nice medium body with sharp tingly carb. It’s actually a bit raw. Harshly bitter in a bracing, spectacularly delicious way from the mid-palate through the finish. Yum. weeare138 (924), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 31, 2007 On tap at the 2007 Sly Fox IPA Project Day...Appears a transparent orange toned amber with a small white head that slowly fades out into a mild cap. Small streaks of lacing are left around the glass. Mild streams of CO2 slowly rise to the top.
Smell is citrusy, herbal, floral, mostly clean with notes of caramel.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas but stepped down slightly with a very mild citrusy flavor.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, herbal, citrusy, and mildly astringent.
