Aug 10, 2007 On tap at Sly Fox in Royersford...take this baby out of retirement! Pours a lightly hazy golden orange/amber with a medium bubbly/creamy off white head that left nice lacing. Aroma of orange, pine, grapefruit, some floral notes and caramel. Flavor of orange zest, pine and grapefruit. Very nice chewy hop flavor with a great caramel lightly toasted and nutty malt balance. Nice lingering hop bitterness. This has become my favorite American hop even in my own home brews...Sly Foxfeatures it nicely here.

May 23, 2007 Updated: May 24, 2007Poured a hazy copper color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma was sweet and malty, caramel and butterscotch, with light citrus hops as well. Taste seems to have lost all its fresh hoppy dominance, it is now balanced between bitter grapefruit hops, and sweet and strong malts. Very full bodied.

Dec 31, 2005 The cenenial hops are perfectly balanced in an excellent malt background. I would say it was almost centennial hop candy... they did not violate the purity of this royal hop with any ruidiculous pairing it just worked. A clear winner. Try it if you can get there.

Jan 28, 2005 Probably the 3rd best of all their experimental IPA’s. Good pine aroma and taste with hints of citrus and moderately resiny. Smooth finish and good bitterness.

Dec 20, 2004 Draft at the brewery for the IPA Project. Nice balance beer. Had a very slight fruit peel taste to it.

Dec 11, 2004 On tap at the Sly Fox. Poured a medium, clear amber color with an off white head. Nice hoppy aromas. Lightly sweet with a nice bitter balance. Nice balance. One of my favorite of the 9 Project IPAs.

Dec 11, 2004 Tap at the SF IPA event. Orange clear, tan head. Nice hop aroma. Centennial works well in IPAS, and you see it frequently in the Left Coast versions. Flavor nice and balanced. Hops don’t dominate too much. Decent finish. The malt comes through slightly.
