Thanks to Kramer17801 for this. I’ve been looking forward to sly fox and I’m glad I’ve gotten some. Pours with a massive head that lingers. There is ample carbonation and a bit of haziness and chunks. All and all, drinkable looking. The aroma is think. There are hints of what I would call wood and allspice and nutmeg. The flavor is interesting…Nutmeg, ginger, and clover (which I could do without) are all strong and blended tightly with sticky malt. It’s a bit sweet but you would not know it due to the spice and perhaps hopy bitterness. It’s very flavorful but a bit much. It’s certainly full bodied, over carbonated and semi-bitter. Too much spice in this one.

Amber/brown topped by a large, spongey, tan cap. Aroma of pungent, well spiced, banana bread, sweet malt, and subtle sugar in the background. Too much spice in the flavor, ginger and nutmeg dominate, clear clove also. Medium/full body, overly carbonated. Solid, needs refinement, but still enjoyable.

Bottle: Deep amber pour with a frustratingly immense, forthy beige head. Aroma is a complexity of spices, most noteable are ginger, cloves and nutmeg. Taste is spicey as well with some floral grassey notes, more ginger and cloves, and some bitters. Even a bit tangy. Dry floral and spicey finish. Thanks DocLock.

Thanks Chuck for this 2006 vintage. I must say, I did not like this beer. The beer pours to a nice orange hued wood color with tons of visible carbonation and a huge 6 finger foamy off-white head. The aroma is very festive. Ginger, cinnamon, and allspice galore. I’d have to say overly spiced, both in the aroma and flavor. Spices such as ginger, nutmeg, and cloves stand out. Some malt. The palate is overly carbonated. Perhaps butterscotch in the flavor?

Copper clear body; very fizzy and bubbly yielding a large frothy tan head. Spiced christmas ale aroma for sure. Maybe some yeasty banana, some slightly roasty malt undertones. Citrus grass. Pretty pleasant aroma. Taste is estery well water, pleasant spices, good overal mix of flavors and balanced.

Reddish amber body w/ a huge frothy light tan head that grows and grows w/ what I can only describe as a vicious amount of visable carbonation. Nice slightly sweet aroma reminds me of gingerbread cookies... definate ginger, brown sugar, cinnamon throughout. Palate is pretty avg in body ok coating w/ a strong carbonation. The flavor is a little let down a bit as expected like a gingerbread cookie but w/ a vegetive additive that throws things off a bit. It leaves a very light taste afterwards and really doesn’t have a whole lot to the flavor, almost delicate. Ok little beer.

22 oz. 06. Thanks to jdg0506. Poured a reddish tan color. Aroma of ginger is very present. Taste of clove with a ginger finsh.
