Aroma is of cinnamon and some other Christmas-like spices. Taste is less straight forward than the aroma. Sweet malt, cinnamon, clove, other spice notes. Slightly watery on the palate with a spice/slight yeast finish. Funknmilla (593), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 27, 2007 2007 - had this on Christmas day. could not pour it. Head was insane. No matter how slow I tried it frothed over the glass. I let it sit and sipped it. It was good, that’s it. It was the worst pouring beer I ever had. I though maybe it was stored incorrectly but I see others had the same problem. kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Had this on draft-Poured to a nice brown color with a small head.Aromas were of ginger.cinammon and nutmeg,which were a bit overpowering in the taste.Not that bad,just would not make any extra effort for it the next time. beerbill (1950), Laurel, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 26, 2007 750 ml bottle. Christmas 2006 Edition. Pours a clear amber with a massive light tan head. In fact, this beer was a pain in the ass to pour because the head was so active. The aroma was all about the spices with ginger, allspice and cinammon present along with some malt. Virtually no malt in the flavor though. Lots of spices however, including ginger, allspice, cinammon and black pepper. Too heavy with the spices in my opinion with no backbone to support it. Mouthfeel was a bit thin. Needs work. tronraner (1916), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 25, 2007 Vertical of 750 mL bottles, 2005, 2006, 2007, thanks to secret santa, shared with NachlamSie and BossHossBikes. Pours dark amber with beige head. All have an obvious ginger aroma with some cinnamon hints... the newer bottle was spicier, and the older two were a little maltier, eventually with hints of diacetyl. The flavor is the malty side of a ginger beer. I know all these other spices are there, but the ginger just takes it to school. Drinkable, but not very artfully crafted. crazyvin (1252), New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2007 poured a nice hearty brown color, nice full white head. good retention. Aroma is mildly spicy with some sweet malts. Kinda the same flavor, very watery palate. Dorwart (1814), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2007 Damn that cork was tough to get out. Great big head with lots of carbonation. Rather large bubbles that reduced pretty slowly. Festive spicy nose with some nutmeg and cinnamon. Decent helping of malts and some dry crusty bread. Color is an impressive crimson brown. Fizzy in the mouth. Fruity and spicy flavor. Lots of mint, ginger and sweet malts. Some caramel in there also. Finishes spicy and sweet with a lingering malty finish. A decent holiday brew.
