Can from Whole Foods (Bowery/Houston). Nice dark brown body with razor thin head. Sweet and malty nose with chocolate notes. Nice taste of malts, toffee and chocolate. It’s also ice cold. So maybe I should have let it warm up a bit to get more flavour out of it. Very smooth. Goes down well.

In a can from BOTW, I was hoping the photo wasn’t accurate, and I’d get a bottle, but not to be. The look of this is nice. An autumn color, burnt sienna, some head. Very doughy nose with a bit of spiciness. Mouthfeel is tingly and clean. Palate is malty and spicy similar to the nose, decent session beer.

Carmel malty goodness served in a pint at the Good Dog in Philly. Clear amber in colour with a thin head. wentgreat with the chorizzo quesadillas! This was a solid brew that i never would have bought in the can... but on tap was delicious.

A deep reddish amber dunkel with a thin off white head. In aroma, a sweet caramel fudge, nutella, light German hops, wonderful. In mouth, a nice malty taste with light burned coffee notes, medium bodied. Can, shared with probstk, Sept. 12 2009.

Amber brown color with a fluffy head. Not sure why I don’t see this as much anymore. So balanced and drinkable it was my go-to for a while. Aroma of sweet caramel malts and mellow hops. Flavor is smooth and balanced, caramel, grain and faint hops.

Nice to have another craft beer option in a can, but it was just a so-so option at best. First, the beer poured out with a HUGE eruptive head that was 100% foam in my glass as I poured it. It literally took up the entire contects of my glass with foam, and had to wait at least 5-10 minutes until it melted. Overpressured or infected? Thankfully, perhaps just overpressured. The body was a clear mahogany brown color. Aroma is light caramel malts. Flavor is light caramel, a bit of brown sugar and some metallic notes.

Light amber pour with a creamy white head and lace. Brown sugar and pie spice. Rich sweet malt with a rather flat flavor. Thin but nice carbonation.

12 oz. can given to me by a gentleman from Pa. while on vacation in Maine. Poured into a shaker pint glass. Pours a clear light brown color with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, Palate is on the thin side and smooth. Flavor is pretty one dimensional, caramel malt. Very enjoyable.
