Had on draft. A dark brown appearance with a very small head. Caramel malt dominated the aroma. Taste was of caramel and bready malt with a slight hop bitterness on the finish.

Sly Fox Dunkel Lager is a very clear amber beer with no visible carbonation. The head is a dense white foam that leaves nice lacing and has great retention. It has a very faint aroma like pretzels or dough. It is medium bodied and smooth with a sharp finish. It has a simple flavor, with good bitterness. It is crisp and dry and makes for easy drinking.

Can, thanks to Ty5592. Pours clear bright amber with a lacy beige head. Aroma and taste of caramel and roasted nuts, with floral hops around the edges. Crisp earthy finish.

Can courtesy of Zathrus 13 poured a clear dark amber with a lasting tan head. Aromas of toasted malt, carmel, light fruittiness and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of toasted malt, light carmel and a hint of fruittiness with a crisp malty finish.

12-oz can received via trade with zathrus13. Pours clear tawny with an average, fizzy, light brown head, mostly lasting with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, meal, nutty), light hops (herbs), heavy yeast (leaves, dough) with notes of apple and tea. Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

12oz can courtesy of zathrus13 poured into a pint glass. Pours a dark clear copper with a huge fluffy white head that takes quite a while to settle down. Lacing is good. Aroma is light sweet malts with a slight roasted character. Not a lot else going on with the nose. The taste is a little more roasted than the aroma with mild malts and some sweetness, but still fairly one dimensional and leaves a malty aftertaste that lingers for a while. This is fairly light bodied with strong carbonation and makes for a fairly dirnkable brew. Still, it’s an average dunkel at best for me.

Can. Pours honey brown with an off white head. Sweet caramel aroma with toasty hints. The flavor is also sweet caramel with brushes of toast and earthyness and a very light hoppy bitterness in the finish.
