Aug 20, 2007 (Can) Pours a clear amber body with a medium beige head. Aroma of maple syrup and toasted malt. Flavor of sweet caramel malt, light lemon, and roasted malt.

Apr 29, 2006 On tap at the Royersford location. Poured a medium to deeper reddish/orange (almost brown) color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, nuts, light roast, and some toffee. Tastes of pretty much the same. Malty.

May 5, 2007 Can sampled on 3/3/07: Pours a transparent dark copper with a thin, wispy, off-white head. Has a sweet, sugary caramel corn and German lager yeast aroma. Body starts slightly sugary and sweet with some corn flavor and DMS toward a slightly toasty, grainy lager yeast finish.

Dec 21, 2006 12 oz can. Dark brown beer with a thin, fast-fading white head. Aroma is slightly sulphurous with soft caramel notes as well. Light noble hop spiciness in the nose. Flavour shows a bit of caramel, light nuttiness, spicy hops… but also a distracting metallic character that I’ve noticed in a few of their beers. It’s decent enough, if decidedly simple.

Aug 10, 2008 Very active can. Tall, deflating, bubbly beige head atop a ruby tinged copper colored liquid. Dry caramel and DMS scents. Nothing to get interested in, in the aroma. I start to get some iodine and other medicinal scents as well the longer this one sets. LIght sweet malt and light licorice in the flavors. Some pumpernickel and other grainy breads as well. Hints of herbal hops, but more a distraction than an addition. Somewhat thin in acidic in feel. Unfortunately the type of brew that give lagers a bad name.

Poured clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with esxcellent lacing.
Moderate toasted caramel malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met.
