| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Diminishing white head covers the very murky copper-brown pour. Estery and doughy yeastiness unveils banana, apricot and grape flavours that blend in nicely with the noye laden malts. Supporting herbal hops and bandagey phenols procures a warming authenticity. Big bubbled carbonation, medium bodied, foamy texture, slightly tart, but not disturbing the malts. Enjoyable. MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2005 The Lure: Caramel sweetness, clove-y yeast spiciness and citrusy, crunchy wheat coexist but can’t shed any light on the purpose of their union.
The Festivities: A succulent mouthfeel promotes caramel malts as well as spicy fruitiness. Consequential to the aroma, but a little bolder and better blended. A nourishing example of the style.
Transcendence: Although not refined, mom’s cooking never disappoints. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
