It was good for the style and had a slight bitter flavor. It’s just not favorite hop. Funknmilla (603), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 27, 2004 Two drafts at the Abbaye. Great deep copper-carmel colored brew, no head, and no lace (disappointing for an IPA). Lots of bitter hops, not much for aromatic or flavor (fuggle or boil); barbell maltiness to "balance" the hop. Not well blended, bitter finish, almost metallic. chronictonic (404), Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 26, 2008 On tap - Capone’s - May 2008. Why oh why did I order this? I’m not a fan of the woody and at time astringent flavor of fuggles. Not sure why I thought this would be any different. Crisp and dry with all fuggle flavor. billk (300), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2004 Tap @ Sly Fox. Crystal clear copper/amber, mod large bubble carb. OK rather large bubble straw/beige head that fell quick. Aroma was weak (it was rather cold). Flavor was moderately sweet medium roasted malt well into the med bodied range. The hop burn and bitterness were definately there big time as expected in a good IPA but hop flavor and aroma were rather weak. Perhaps a fuggle characteristic. I tried warming up the glass with my hands as it got down toward empty but couldn’t get much more flavor out of it. rhapsouldize (174), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2004 Tap. Clear amber in color with dense off-white head. Barely an aroma--a bit fruity. Very hoppy and dry. A bit darker than the others in taste.
