May 9, 2008 Draught at Phoenixville BrewPub: Aroma of hops and some citrus. Pretty faint. Poured amber in color with a small, creamy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of fruit, Fuggles, citrus, and celery. Medium body. Slightly sticky, then chalky texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. Good, but not great.

Oct 27, 2004 Two drafts at the Abbaye. Great deep copper-carmel colored brew, no head, and no lace (disappointing for an IPA). Lots of bitter hops, not much for aromatic or flavor (fuggle or boil); barbell maltiness to "balance" the hop. Not well blended, bitter finish, almost metallic.

Oct 1, 2004 Tap @ Sly Fox. Crystal clear copper/amber, mod large bubble carb. OK rather large bubble straw/beige head that fell quick. Aroma was weak (it was rather cold). Flavor was moderately sweet medium roasted malt well into the med bodied range. The hop burn and bitterness were definately there big time as expected in a good IPA but hop flavor and aroma were rather weak. Perhaps a fuggle characteristic. I tried warming up the glass with my hands as it got down toward empty but couldn’t get much more flavor out of it.

Jun 6, 2008 Draft at Royersford...copper small off-white head...mild citrus aroma...medium carbonation....distinct lemon/grapefruit peel finish--bitter....one dimensional flavor profile, yet good...citrusy grapefruit taste, some malts but they are defiantly blanketed... I like it

Jun 14, 2008 @Ginger Man-on tap-pours an off white head that laces and gold color. Aroma is earthy/pine hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is earthy/pine/then herbal/then tannin-hops, some malt. Dry bitterness. Not quite to my taste.

May 26, 2008 On tap - Capone’s - May 2008. Why oh why did I order this? I’m not a fan of the woody and at time astringent flavor of fuggles. Not sure why I thought this would be any different. Crisp and dry with all fuggle flavor.
