Pours a dark amber, the darkest color I’ve seen in their IPAs, with a generous off-white head. Aroma is filled with pine and citrus--you can smell the bitterness. Flavor is dominated by pine, and very bitter, but the bitterness fades in the aftertaste. Overall, one of their best yet, i.m.o. hopdog (5630), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a dark amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of spices and citrus. Nice bitter bite. Lacing left on the glass. Dickinsonbeer (3563), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2005 Updated: Dec 18, 2005Pours hazy amber just like almost all thier IPA’s with a nice sticky head and great lacing. Aroma is nicley balanced between malts and hops- typical crystal malts with a good amount of clean slightly citrusy, and lightly spicy galena hops. This is moderately bitter but tastes very crisp and clean in the end. Pretty mild overall. egajdzis (3645), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 11, 2005 Poured a hazy amber color with a medium sized, creamy, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, grapes, caramel malts, and floral hops. Taste of spicy pine resin, light caramel malts, and a citrus grapefruit finish. obxdude10 (1566), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 9, 2005 Copper in color with a nice soft off-white head, nice lacing around the glass as well, hoppy nose with hints of caramel & spice, medium in body, decently balanced, not overly impressed with the amount of hops in the body & flavor, certainly not as hoppy as quite a few others in the IPA project, decent malt backbone, dry & fairly hoppy finish, smooth & drinkable, not a bad one but others in the project have been much better
