| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 24, 2007 Tap at Barcade. Amber coloured beer with a thick white head. Very faint aroma (as with several of these Sly Fox IPA projects) with a bit of earthiness, dusty pale malt. The flavour shows a bit of berry, dry woodiness and a hint of tree bark/resin. I guess Galena isn’t a terribly tasty hop. A touch of cooling mintiness on the back, but the beer itself doesn’t really do it for me. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of hop, caramel malt, some spicy esters. Tastes hoppy, with a firm malt presence and a hit of citrus and dry spicy esters at the finish. Well balanced and complex. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of citrus, grapes, caramel malts, and floral hops. Taste of spicy pine resin, light caramel malts, and a citrus grapefruit finish. Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2005 Updated: Dec 18, 2005Pours hazy amber just like almost all thier IPA’s with a nice sticky head and great lacing. Aroma is nicley balanced between malts and hops- typical crystal malts with a good amount of clean slightly citrusy, and lightly spicy galena hops. This is moderately bitter but tastes very crisp and clean in the end. Pretty mild overall. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 1, 2007 Draft @ HDG. Nothing wrong with this stuff. Looks great in the glass, has a nice grassy aroma and a nice dryness in the finish. Balances almost perfectly, showcasing the hop very well. TomDecapolis (3175), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a mostly translucent amber with lots of golden notes and a medium creamy off white head that left lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, orange slice, fresh hops, light pine and toasted malt. Flavor of toasted malt, caramel, pine, considerable hop bitterness and grapefruit. michael-pollack (2692), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 21, 2005 Draught @ brewery: Very faint aroma of hops and a little cream. Dark, ruby-red color. Darkest Sly Fox IPA I have seen. Big, white, creamy head. Medium lacing. Full Galena flavor which was medium bitter and medium dry. Tasty, but I prefer more bitter hop flavor. Easy to drink. Overall, a solid IPA.
