richlikebeer (823), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA May 3, 2005 draught at the goat races, sweet hop nose with hints of caramel malts, an amber body with a creamy white head that was on top for a good amount of time. nice balance on the flavor, starts sweet with malts and ends with the bitterness that i was expecting. a nice body, and a nice enjoyable, easy drinking brew. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 20, 2004 Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly. OK alt. Tasted what it should be. Had a slight hoppy aftertaste I didn’t care for. egajdzis (3602), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 28, 2004 Poured a copper color with a small, off white head, and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of earth, toasted dough, caramel, and citrus hops. Dry, and dusty taste, some biscuity malts, nuts and caramel, with a short, bitter, citrus hop finish. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 27, 2004 Just had this one yesterday at the new Royersford, PA, Sly Fox location. Pours amber with aroma of malt, fruit, slight toffee. Tastes malty, with finishing fruit and hops, and a somewhat dry final blast on the papillae. Very good...not an elite alt (I prefer the Valley Forge Drunken Money for local alts) but as usual, another well made beer from Sly Fox. hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 21, 2004 Poured a medium to darker brown color with a small off white head. Aromas and tastes of malts with light hops. Some toffee and caramel. Lightly sweet. obxdude10 (1546), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 18, 2004 Great albier, deep copper color, huge off-white head that laced around the glass very nicely, had a little bit of everything in the aroma, a little hop, a little malt, a little fruit, medium in body, flavors were very well-balanced, great hop character, good malt backbone, the sweet malt pretty much dominated the beer but, again, was balanced excellently, semi-sweet & malty finish with a touch of hoppiness, great session beer, and another great one from the Sly Fox
