Commercial Description:
Helles Bock is a bright, clear golden interpretation of a classic bock beer (see Sly Fox Slacker Bock). Made with all German Pils malt, this is the perfect expression and experience of that great malt you'll ever find in a glass.

From growler thanks to Egajdzis. Poured a medium golden color with a smaller off white head. Aromas of citrus and light caramle. Tastes of lemons, grass, and lightly spicy. Nice dry and clean finish.

Tap at Ginger Man. Very pale straw colour. Creamy white head. The aroma is fresh and clean with little more than the base malt apparent. Light grainy flavour with a kiss of floral hops. It’s a bit cidery tasting too, which I don’t really enjoy. Pretty boring really... they can definitely do better.

Pours deep gold with big white head. Aroma of malt, fruit, hopcit. Tastes hoppy, with citrus and some floral and fruit elements. Layers of complexity in this. Bravo.

Poured a deep bronze color with a small, off white head that left very little lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel and doughy malt, wintergreen. Biscuity taste, more caramel malt, grassy hops, very fruity, with a bitter citrus finish. Light alcohol was noticed as well.

On tap at the Phoenixville location for the 2006 Goat Races. Pours a translucent golden with an average foamy white head that left some lacing. Aroma of grains, sweet maltiness, ice tea and some citrus. Flavor of grains, malts, lightly hopped, cereal with a slight bitterness.

Draught): Aroma of floral hops and Pils malts. Poured a medium golden color with a big, foamy, white head that lasted throughout. Flavor was medium bitter but not sweet at all. Taste was a little bit caramel malty, hops with a hint of fruit. Very nice flavor. Light body. Average carbonation. Fresh. Refreshing. Crisp. Medium bitter, lightly malty-sweet finish. Overall, a nice summer beer.

Recommended by egajdzis this one was pretty darn good. A golden appearance with a large head. A strong lemon and hay presence in the flavor. Somewhat sweet taste as well. The alcohol is present in the aftertaste. Woohoo!
