| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 26, 2009 22 oz bomber from Spirits RB. Pours a clear thin honey amber with a large frothy bridge head. Aroma really shows the age of this one with more barley wine qualities then DIPA. Notes of honey, caramel, toffee, grain and sweet hop syrup. Body is pleasant with a medium mouthfeel and a bitter lingering finish. Flavor of grain and malty sweetness including honey, caramel and raisin. Not bad but I wonder how much this would be better fresh. keepersj12 (808), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

Aroma: A nice, but light citrus aroma, some other fruits and grass as well
Appearance: Pours a dark orange, almost amberish, color with a thin white head
Flavor: More malty and less hoppy then the style usually is, but it has a nice taste it
Palate: This one has a pretty decent mouthfeel with a medium body and a bit of an ABV bite.
Overall Impression:
This was a pretty decent beer, but it didn’t quite live up to what I wanted from this beer and this style. I’m not saying it was bad, but it wasn’t quite up to my expected level.
