Sly Fox Panacea

their was a great balance between extreme malt sweetness and extreme hop bitterness though every sip, the sweetness on it’s own would be too much, but ton’s of hops just make it so much more. this is definitely not for the calorie counters, not that you should be worrying about that while enjoying any good beer.

Draft at Blind Tiger - Dark shiny copper, thin fizzy white head. As it warmed, a softly complex nose of raisin, musty caramel, and touches of tropical fruitcake emerge. Flavor was well mingled notes of dank sweet fruity hop flavors that seem well balanced from start to finish. Full bodied, soft carbonation, dry, warming fruity finish. Good sippin brew...

On tap at the Blind Tiger in NYC. Poured a deep orangey brown, ok head for the abv, even some lacing on the way down. The aroma was fruity, grapes, sweet malts. The flavor was white grapey fruity, caramel, candy, rich, alcohol a little sharp, yet the zing finish was somewhat balancing to the sweet malts. The mouthfeel was full, a touch sticky sweet, not bad, though.

Tap at Barcade: Deep amber with an orange hue topped by a thin tan head. Bright fruity hop aroma with tropical fruit hints (mango) and a caramel hint. Flavor has some candyish malts, toffee, somewhat sweet. There are some tropical fruit flavors with hints of passion fruit and mango. Has a velvety warming mouth feel and a decent hop fruity note in the finish. A bit sweet, but still substantial.

(Hand-bottled 12oz bottle, courtesy of Ty5592) Pours a clear amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, spruce, caramel, citrus, and spices. Flavor of hops, fruit, and spices with a dry, bitter finish.
