It smells like minerals and dirt. The flavor is metallic and dry. I wonder if I got a bad can? The appearance sure is deceiving, it is a nice cloudy orange. It did seem to have a lot of carbonation, overflowing the can when I opened it (no I didn’t shake it). This is one of the worst tasting beers I have ever had. This is going right down the drain. I will give this one another chance if I can.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2009 12oz can brought back with me after my trip to Philly. Pours a crystal clear, orange-copper colored body with an inch thick, creamy, light tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves lots of creamy lacing. Aroma is floral and fruity hops with a moderate caramel, malty sweetness. Slightly mineral lemon and a light crystal sweetness. Flavor is thinner caramels up front before lots of fruity, floral, lemony-citrus hops come in and dominate the finish. Despite the thin beginning, this finishes with a decent malt body that doesn’t necessarily add any sweetness, but gives it a solid balance and never allows the hops to become out of balanced. Pretty dry with a long lingering aftertaste of citrusy hops and a thin earthy caramel. The body starts off pretty thin and slowly grows into the finish, but despite allowing balance, it throws this off a bit. Overall, a very tasty, flowery, slightly earthy, citrusy pale ale. The body is a bit distracting, but other than that, this was enjoyable. Another solid canned beer. anders37 (4792), Malmö, Sweden

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 26, 2009 12oz Can. Pours an acacia-brownish, edging citrine-orange, nice slick of beige cream. Aroma tends towards hops, but plays in a aromatic malt, towards caramelized pear. Flavor gives a back and forth of nice toothy malt and fresh, punch hops. This tug of war is inviting and combined with the high drinkability, makes for an enjoyable beer. There’s also something extra nice about a fresh hoppy beer like this out of the can. It makes it seems more intact, ready, and whole. The malt on this beer seems a little mumbled, but it doesn’t detract too heavily. A perfect spring or summer adventure beer.
