(Draught) Poured golden and almost clear with medium sized and white head. Aroma was very grassy. Palate was medium bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, fruitiness, malts, grain and bitterness. Finished grassy and bitter.

Can: Fairly still slightly hazy golden pour with a thick dense fluffy white head that retains well. Simple aroma- doughy, slightly sweet with a mild DMS note- slightly biscuity pils malt undertones with little hop bouquet. Fluffy carbonation with a crisp light body. The flavor is drier and crisper than the aroma suggests. Some mild crackery malt comes through in the body, though there is a bit of doughy/almost corn like sweetness (almost DMS-like, perhaps it’s just not very fresh of a can). The hops offer a nice spiciness on the back with evident noble hop bitterness. A decent European style pils- I want to try a fresher sample.

Can: Poured golden yellow color with a nice head. The aroma was spice and bitter. The flavor was smooth, nice bitterness, and a nice hop character. Overall, nice beer.

A solid pilsner that overdoes the bitterness. This is a great beer, with a lot of flavor for the style but I just think hop bitterness is over the top.

Appearance is immense carbonation and a massive fluffy head. Very hazy with what appears to be floating specks. Bright golden color. Lots of frosty lace. Good look for a pils. Sharp spicy smell. The smell of chlorine. Surprisingly musty for being in a can. Hops are overly bitter. Not so good, Al. Serious pilsner bitter flavor with definite chlorine taste. As it warms, some spicy lemon and orange come out. Has a weird saison spicyness. The yeast took a weird turn here. Feel is fizzy but smooth at the swallow. The feel is the best part of the beer. It’s actually as it warms up, but not great overall. It’s a rather musty pils.

Monk’s Café in Philly. Grainy, with a hint of sourness. Clear golden with frothy white head. Toasty and lightly grainy with hint of fruitiness. Peppery hop notes. Light to medium body and slick mouthfeel. Dry grainy lightly bitter finish.

"North German style Pilsner" nails it. A little austere in the malt department (as it should be), but some really beautiful hop notes come through. Big Hallertau character. There is a little (and I mean just a little) diacetyl which somehow gives it a sense of body. Not my favorite flavor, but not completely unwelcome here. This doesn’t have the lushness of Victory Prima Pils, but it’s not supposed to. Quite good.
