Can from Whole Foods (Bowery, E Houston) Dark golden, with big head. Nose of hops. Full-bodied, crisp with nice spicy finish. Really, really good pilsener. One of the best I’ve ever had. I gave it overall bonus points for coming from a can. The can movement rocks.

Blond color. The aroma is lightly grassy. Simple flavor, dry malt, and straw hopping. Not bad, but easy, like many bräuhaus Pils in Germany.

I am really starting to like the designs on the Sly Fox cans. This one has a large hop cone on the front. Enough talk about the container, on to the beer. This one was bright yellow and transparent. The head was stark white, rocky and HUGE! The smell was earthy and slightly like baked bread (yeast anyone?). The flavor is subtle and crisp. The only flavor I can pick out is yeast. The aftertaste lingers but is actually not bad. This beer would be perfect for hot days; it makes me think of baseball games. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 05-24-2007 18:57:07

A golden pour with a big white head. Straw and a little spice aroma. Taste is dry, sharp, and clean. A little hop bite and a fine beer. Yet another winner in a can.

Aroma is of floral hops and grass. It looks like a bud light when poured. taste is hops and grass with a dry palate. None of the floral notes in the aroma seem present. Much less balanced than aroma led me to believe.

Poured a clear golden color with small head that didn’t last but that may have been due to the glass. Smelled of hops and a bit of citrus. Taste was good upfront with the bitterness of the hops but the aftertaste was a bit metallic. The metallic taste faded as the beer warmed and gave way to a pleasant and lasting bitter finish. Palate was nice with a bit of zing from the carbonation. Overall a tasty and refreshing pilsner.

I gulped this beer down. Pours a pretty golden yellow with slow rising carbonation and a massive foamy head. The arouma is a little funky, bready and grass. But the malt character is deliciously thirst quenching. Finishes with a little funk and a good hop kick.

(Draught) Poured golden and almost clear with medium sized and white head. Aroma was very grassy. Palate was medium bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, fruitiness, malts, grain and bitterness. Finished grassy and bitter.
