Draft at Sly Fox. Clear dark yellow golden body, with a tall, pillowy white head, about 1/2 inch thick after it settles. Super sweet nose of Belgian candy sugar, sweet syrupy and sharp malt (clean), some lighter spiced fruit and whatnot, but mostly this is just heavy with a sugary candy and malt flavor, like a simple or uncomplicated tripel, without any dryness. Flavors of clove, coriander and anise are present but very minimal, and mostly it’s just overly syrupy and sweet.

Draft: Poured a golden yellow with not much head. The aroma was that of bread and malt. The flavor was very malty and yeasty, sweet and sugary. Very drinkable. The finish had a nice surprise of light hops. A very drinkable beer.

Golden color with a pretty much nonexistent head. Aroma of sweet candi sugar and light citrus with some spices. Taste is sugary with some spice and oranges. Not bad, not too exciting, but pretty refreshing. Good, but I can’t imagine forking over the cash for a jereboam of this.

Had this at the Royersford location right before Christmas. Clear yellow color with really no head. Spicy belgian nose. The taste was spicey with light sugary notes throughout. Dry finish.

Poured hazy yellow with little head. Aroma of spice and some citrus. Lots of spice flavor with some citus background. Had some sweet character here and there. More spice than anything.

Blonde with ring ahead and an island of foam in the midle. Sweet yeastiness in the nose with a light honey twinge as well as some floral notes. Well integrated prickly yeastiness and candi sugar in the body with a bit too much residual sugar sweetness. Smooth with alcohol on the finish. Dangerously drinkable.

Draught @ Brewery: Sweet aroma. Smells of fruit, cherries, yeast, bubblegum and some spices. Poured gold in color with a small white head that lasted throughout. Ok lacing. Clear. Not sparkling. Sweet flavor. Tastes of fruits, light spices, candi sugar, and Red Bull. Light to medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Sweet, fruity, dry finish.

July 2005 - Poured yellow with very small head and no lacing. Color was so yellow I wondered if the beer would glow in the dark. A decent imitation of a Belgian ale...but just average. They didn’t go crazy with sweetness and there was even a nice hoppy finish.
