The aroma is sweet malty with a light citrusy note. The flavor is very hoppy for a Belgian style beer, but also with nice spicy notes, and some fruits. The end is spicy and last for a long time, drying out the mouth. The alcohol leaves a slight note, but most importantly gives it a good body. Nice. boto (1336), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2006 Draught in Phoenixville: Served in a 10oz. goblet. This one pours a clear, golden color with a small white head. The aroma was a bit weaker than I expected for this type, even after warming a bit. Some sweetness and fruitiness, as well as a hint of floral. The taste is somewhat sweet, with a slightly thicker body. Decent enough. pbjclimber (150), Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Tap: Pours a golden straw color with a white head. The taste is of fruity esters with a little banana, cloves, and coriander being present. The yeast is also very present. From taste I thought this was a trippel. hopscotch (5483), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 21, 2006 Draft... Clear, yellow ale with a small, frothy, white head. Fruity, yeasty aroma with notes of apricot, citrus fruit and bread. The flavor is sweet, breadsy and grainy. Between medium and full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Finishes gently sweet with a kiss of toffee. Not one of my favorite styles, but a very decent beer. biznizness (937), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA

Interesting brew here, as I expected a strong ale, but this came out looking (and tasting) like a tripel in some ways. Very fruity and sweet. Overall a delicious brew. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2006 On tap at the Phoenixville location. Pours a translucent golden with an average foamy white head that left some lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, candi sugars and grape candy. Flavor was fruity, sugary and candy like. Also picking up some grape juice with a lighter feel yet a decent alcohol kick. rhapsouldize (174), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA

I’m not really a huge Belgian fan, especially if they’re Belgian style and not actually Belgian, but this one was pretty palatable. The aroma was predominantly wheaty, with some citrus notes as well. The flavor was extremely wheaty, and very sweet (which is the thing that I don’t care for in Belgians). Overall, not too drinkable, but not bad. hopdog (5590), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
