austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA May 5, 2003 Massively wheaty, like they put bushels of the stuff in each glass. Some sweetness and fruitiness (citrus). Delicious. DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 1, 2004 Pours a deep, very turbid straw color. The aroma is intense, with cloves, bananas, citrus, and yeast. First taste is citrus, cloves, yeast, subdued hops, and very banana. Finishes with a flourish of the flavors above, but with even more banana. Wonderful weisse. sinkr (138), Lusby, Maryland, USA Mar 24, 2008 Draft->juice glass (tasting@brewery): Poured a small, white, lasting head atop of a muddy orange body that was cloudy with particles. Aromas are toffee, nutty, orange, and a light hint of yeast with some bubble gum notes. The body is light, sticky on the mouth, and finishes astringent and bitter. The flavor is lightly sweet, moderately acidic and bitter. I really liked this beer; it exhibits a very sweet aroma, with fruit bowl and complex aroma. Prolly the best weiss(e) I’ve had to date (Mar08). RblWthACoz (959), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 2, 2008 Pours a very clouded orange amber with a nice off-white head. Nose is a heavy yeast. Kind of an earthy tar tone to it. Flavor is earthy yeast and very strong at that. Robust. Thick. Deep. Feel is thick on liquid and nice on the carbonation. Overall I have to say this is a pretty tasty brew. Hearty and deep, but definitely worth trying. Especially with all this craft brew in the can stuff going on. markgugs (86), Wood Ridge, New Jersey, USA May 13, 2007 poured from a 12 oz. can into a tall weiss glass
A: Pours a refreshing-looking straw yellow with loads of yeast cloudiness. Huge fluffy head and an amazing amount of lacing throughout.
S: Very rich yeast aromas with delicious hints of caramel and sweet ripened fruit.
T/M: Very tangy, lemony flavors dominate, with a hint of sweetness throughout, creating a solid balance. Slightly too carbonated, but overall quite tasty.
D: Incredibly easy-to-drink beer, would be a superb replacement at summer BBQs and get-togethers for your non-craft beer pals. Very well crafted!
Another winner from Sly Fox, recommended!
