Commercial Description:
Bristol Imperial is a robust, but smooth, rich ruby ale created by the blend of finely roasted chocolate malt with crystal malt. Balanced by the infusion of First Gold and Fuggles hops for a subtle hint of bitterness resulting in a well rounded ale with a fruity aroma and a satisfying roast malt finish.

Reddish brown with medium head. Nutty, caramelly, smoky aroma. Flavour of dark fruits and malts, bready and roasty. Pleasantly bitter. It’s more Scottish in flavour than many real Scottish ales. Bottle 500 ml.

Bottle. Deep chestnut red, thin but lasting off white head and low condition. Subdued aromas of sweet malt, roast barley and slight oakiness. Creamy in the mouth with more malt, roasted note less noticeable and slight fruity tartness. Earthy roasted dry note in the finish.

A dark bitter with a smooth roasted taste making it very suitable for winter evenings. It was like drinking liquid toast-recommended.

A nice fruity, smooth chocolate aromaa starts this beer well. Flavours are fruity, with milk chocolate smoothness and plain chocolate bitterness. There's some banana in there, too. Good roast malts too. Good beer.
