Magic_dave6 (3563), London, Greater London, England May 4, 2008 Keg in O’neils. Its like a nitro product accidently on 60/40 rather the 70/30. Aroma is too cold to get much other than poor grainy sweet malt. Taste is similar, poor sweet grainy clearly made from poor quality malts, bitterness is really fake. Iv possibly overrated this as iot was a poor an uninspring attempt at a beer.
stangger (99), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 On tap... everywhere. It’s the upper end of the generic bar beers, drinkable with a nice splash of bitterness at the end. mcjay (9), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA does not count Aug 2, 2008 Very smooth malty flavor with a nice deep amber tone. Smithwicks (pronounced smit-icks) is to the Irish ale what Guinness is to the Irish stout. One of my favorites. DrDavid (64), , Vermont, USA Aug 1, 2008 (Bottle). Cola color, small head. Roasty, slightly bitter taste, with lingering minimal finish. Thin, mild, not unpleasant. smjohnst (108), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 1, 2008 It has a guiness taste in the form of an ale, which for me is the perfect fit. It has a very smokey after taste. 502Flavors (199), Kentucky, USA Jul 29, 2008 On tap at a local dive bar. Dark nut brown pour with pretty good head. Aroma doesn’t have much going on, just a faint hint of nuts and pale malt that that you almost have to strain to detect. Flavor is funky and a bit out of balance - some hop notes and some slightly roasted malt flavor. Light bodied on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall: not horrible, but not great. It has a strange mustyness to it, like its dusty.
