The nose is walnut flesh with some sweet potatoes and a little bit of raw bread dough. The taste is largely bitter orange peels with burnt bread crust and notes of apple core. There is also some black pepper spice in the finish, but it is light. Overall a decent light pale ale, but the doughy notes are a little more than I like in an APA. slang (405), Columbia, South Carolina, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Deep golden color, aroma of sweet malt. I had pretty low expectations for this since their IPA is mediocre, at best. But this is an enjoyable refreshing beer. A good balance of hops and malt, just a good flavorful, balanced brew, nothing out of this world, but solid. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
