hopscotch (4591), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Oct 8, 2006 Draft... The only offering I tasted on my 10/7/06 visit with any real flavor... Clear golden ale with a small, frothy, white head. Grapefruit, orange and juniper in the nose. Caramel malt and cookie flavor with moderate bitterness provided by PNW hops. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Lengthy, lightly bitter, grassy finish. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 24, 2007 on tap @HopfestNC-pours an off white head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is citrus hops-some cascade. Taste is citrus hops-bitter, some malt.
Tmoney99 (3642), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 1, 2007 Draft sampler at Pigeon Forge. Poured an amber color with a moderate fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Light sour citrus hop aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew. jjpm74 (3155), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Apr 1, 2008 Bottle courtesy of tronraner. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells earthy with some dry malt. Tastes moderately bitter and peppery with a dry finish. Ughsmash (3082), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Feb 5, 2008 Bottled. Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a light dusting of off-white head. The aroma picked up candied lighter fruits and caramel supporting earth, pine, and grapefruit hoppage. The flavor was quite sharp.. with lots of grainy, fruity simpler sugars at the core and a rough bitterness surrounding.. toasty caramel and piney bitterness on the finish. Lighter-bodied with high carbonation.. got caught up toward the back of the mouth. This was a hair below average, but drinkable.
