Commercial Description:
A delicious brown ale with a deep chesnut color. Low hop rate and light carbonation make this brew a smooth and creamy number with a rich, malty-sweet finish. Look closely for the touch of roastedness in the background.

Poured clear amber with a one finger head. The aroma was nothing crazy, a little hoppy with some lemon and citrus notes. The flavor was citrusy hops with caramel notes. The mouthfeel was smooth with a nice texture, overall nothing great or special but a nice tasty and solid amber ale.

12 oz bottle courtesy of Lithy. Pours an amber hue with very little head. Aroma is malt with a hint of molasses. Palate is kind of flat, but surprisingly full bodied. Taste is sweet malt with a hint of molasses and a background of floral citrus flavor. No hop presence. A bit un balanced, but quite drinkable.

Bottle courtesy of lithy – thanks Justin! Pours clear amber with a half finger white head that receded to a film quickly. The nose is all malt like gobstoppers. The taste is malt and brown sugar with a touch of roast in the finish. Light-to-medium, fairly flat body.

Bottle: Pours a deep copper with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet. Mostly maltiness with a little bit of citrus fruit. Tastes smooth and malty with no real hops presence. Caramel and sugary with light citrus. Prefect for the drinker who wants to look tough holding that cool glass of baddass amber that secretly tastes very mild... Damn plankers!

for some reason amber in color. it’s ok though. not nutty at all, not chocolatey. smells of alcohol. a little funky.

Bottle: Thanks to Secret Santa! Pours thin looking copper with an off white head and great clarity. Touch buttery in the nose. Sweet, with vague nutty hints under diacetyl, caramel and puffed rice. Thin oily feel. Flavor is a bit off. Sweet caramel character with a nutty notes, as a Brown Ale should be; yet there’s a touch of buttery quality, and some odd papery, almost adjunct like rice character toward the back. Residual odd sweet/cheap grains are left on the tongue. Not too good.

More black than beer. some spicy overtones. Hints of smoke. Full of flavor and personality. sweet, sweet, caramel. think cream soda with malt. very little hops. medium body (much heavier than your average lager). one of the best things going for gatlinburg, tn.

Reddish brown on a thin tan head. Slight honey and caramel aroma. Very sweet and the taste is caramel, lightly nutty, chocolate and toasted malt.
