| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 22, 2007 Draught at Coppar Cellar - Knoxville. The look is a clear orangy red and had no head at all. Relatively weak malt aroma but in the taste a good sweet caramel tang mixes with a malt touch that seems to have just the right balance going on. I rate the tuchaleechee porter higher for sophistication but I would order the black bear first every time for refreshment. adrian910ss (1432), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Bottle and draft - Calhoun’s restaurants. They are usually out of this brownish beer with a slight head on draft, and draft is slightly better than the bottle. Aroma is slight malt. Taste is similar, but typically hit or miss; about half the batches are good; half are so-so. T2Tool (352), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 11, 2006 I didn’t really read the description when I purchased this at their location in Gatlinburg, so got something different than I was expecting. Thought it would be a stout by the name, but turned out to be a very drinkable brown ale. Thought it was well-balanced and had a nice malty touch to it. puzzl (2635), New York, New York, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Dec 6, 2006 Plain, husky, slightly sweet aroma. Vigorous pour yields zero head. Yuck. Totally off, corny stale flavor. Syrupy. Sucks.
