Commercial Description:
A delicious brown ale with a deep chesnut color. Low hop rate and light carbonation make this brew a smooth and creamy number with a rich, malty-sweet finish. Look closely for the touch of roastedness in the background.

Draught at Calhouns on the hill. A dark amber beer with a light tan head. Lightly carbonated with a toasted malt flavor. A medium bodied beer that was just a tad watery as it warmed. A real good beer and a decent surprise.

12 oz bottle, vis BeerandBlues2. Pours a clear light brown with a minimal and quickly disappearing head. Aroma is very grainy with touches of nuttiness and toasted malt. Flavor is rather sweet with some toffee and toasted malt. Minimal to no hop presence. Mouthfeel is thin with prickly fizzy carbonation. Overall, a pretty weak and watery attempt.

Draught at brewpub. Amber pour with minimal head. Aroma and taste are of sweet malts and sugary candy. Body is a bit thin, but when warmed, it’s not that bad.

Light/medium bodied. Low carbonation. Good malt representation, finishes malty as well. Light touch of hops.

On tap at the brewery/restaurant in Gatlinburg. Pretty average ale. This was my fallback when they ran out of the seasonal Harvest Fest, but I promptly switched to Thunder Road. Malty. A bit watery. Little that is notable. Not my favorite from this brewery, but not terrible by any means. Just lacks the depth of say - a Fullers. Needs some hops, damnit. All I’m gettin’ here is roasty malt. :)

Something like my first kiss, neither bad nor great. A bit of smoke and a bit more sweet malt. Smooth and kind to the palate, though not overly so. Perhaps the great failing of this brew is the lack of excitement it offers. Hmmm..MUCH like my first kiss.

Draught at brewpub. Transparent mahogany. Slightly abrasive malty aroma. Flavor is mostly sweet malt. Not a whole lot going on here, but good enough.
