Commercial Description:
A delicious brown ale with a deep chesnut color. Low hop rate and light carbonation make this brew a smooth and creamy number with a rich, malty-sweet finish. Look closely for the touch of roastedness in the background.

Bottle. Looks like Lipton Tea with a bit of carbonation. Aroma is pretty strong alcohol. Taste is way too sweet molasses and brown sugar. Roasted indeeed. When they burnt the barrels, they should have burnt the whole batch of this swill. Total crap.

Nice amber/brown color, small head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind. The aroma was malty caramel and mild hops.Malty taste with a mild caramel and hops and a slight bitter sweet side as well. Not a bad brew at all fairly decent in flavor and highly drinkable.Well worth having a couple more around for later. Thanks go to Suttree for sending me this nice brew.

Deep amber with a light small head. On tap from the brewery-not too bad, but not as good as others I've had from here. Malty and smooth for the most part, but flavor could have been more pronounced and lasting.

Amber colour with predominant ruby highlights and a thin off-white head. Aroma of concord grapes, caster sugar, malt and a slight sourness. Medium-bodied; Strong sweetness with a large malt backbone with notes of grapes and nuts in the taste. Aftertaste actually quite pleasant, as it combines a grapey sweetness and a palatable malt. Overall, actually a decen beer-better than I had expected, and a great one to finish off from my beers from Tennessee! I got this twelve ounce bottle in an in-person trade with Suttree way back in September! I sampled this beer on 09-December-2003. Thanks again Phil!

Copperish brown, thin dirty head. aroma is bready, grainy, with notes of salt and pepper. crisp, clean palate. resiny hops, grainy, with some savory, woodsy spices. very drinkable, but flavor fades as you drink it. Note: this was on draft at the resturant. I have have had this bottled, and i cannot recommend very many of their products when bottled. Very spotty quality control on the bottling lines, it seems.

Draught, GABF 2003. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel). with a light note sherry. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

Lightish on the tongue and watery. Musty, dusty and dry with some wet wood notes. Didn't really care for this one at all. Tasted like wet bark.

Moderately malted nose, but I found this overwhelming sensation of grape to be whafting upwards from the glass. Like grape soda, or grape popsicles. Creamy head and golden color. Medicinal rubbing alcohol flavors. Semi-bitter hitting the sides of the tongue. Dry feel with a medium body.
