Jun 8, 2008 on tap-pours a off white ring for a head and amber color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-honey/toffee. Taste is sweet medium malt-honey/toffee/peat, some earthy hops. Mild carbonation.

Oct 8, 2006 Draft... Clear, deep amber ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Malty aroma with fruity esters and biscuity notes. Well-balanced, malty flavor with toffee esters. Medium-bodied and creamy with mild carbonation. Water, lightly tangy finish.

Sep 4, 2007 Draft sample at the brewpub in Pigeon Forge. Poured a clear dark brown color with a medium off-white frothy head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium toasted nutty malty aroma. Medium body. Medium toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of average duration.

Jun 22, 2005 Thanks for the beer, SpringsLicker. Poured a dark amber. The aroma is roasted caramel and walnuts. The taste has pears and honey. A little bit of earthy moss in the finish.

May 23, 2009 Received a 12-oz bottle from lithy via trade. Pours a semi-clear brownish amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin ring and spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted dark malt, roasted nuts, a touch of floral hops and some tea. Taste is medium bodied, flavors of rosted nuts, roasted barley, floral hops and a touch of toffee. Finish has a nice malty and floral hop aftertaste.
