timsilvia32 (445), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Apr 19, 2009 On tap. A typical amber/orange pour with off white head. Malty sweet nose, some raisin and biscuit. Flavor pretty similar, nothing overpowering however, with some slight red fruits. Good drinkability. Descent enough I think, I don’t try too many Dunklers. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Apr 18, 2009 On draft at calhoun’s with suttree before heading to asheville. Reddish clear amber pour with slight alcohol on the nose. Caramel and toasty. Very sweet all around. Pretty average though as far as brews go. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Mar 16, 2009 Red-orange with a thin off white head. Caramel and light sweet coca aroma. Taste is nutty, toasty, sweet caramel malts, more light coca. One of their best. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA May 4, 2008 Draft in Gatlinburg. Brown in the glass with a frothy off-white head that somewhat lasted and left think lacing. Light aromas of sweet malts. The flavor continued with the sweet malts and a light roast noted. Medium body. Ok but needs a little more in the flavor and a big push in the aroma. (Rating from 29 May 07) Tilley4 (218), Huron, Tennessee, USA Apr 14, 2008 Pretty decent little brew here... Good example of the style... Dark and malty with a nice sweetness, it went well with my patty melt.. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Calhoun’s Capricator Bock

jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 24, 2007 on tap @HopfestNC-pours a disappearing off white head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-sweet. Taste is medium malt-sweet, cloying, bitter/acidic. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jul 23, 2007 On tap Gatlinburg. A brown pour with a slight head. An aroma of sweet malt and a hint of nut. The flavor followed suit with the aroma in that it was semi sweet with a hint of dates or raisins, something dried. No bitter to speak of but a really smooth drinker. Just a tad thin cost it a couple of points with me. Met the brewer while I was there as well. Couldn’t believe he didn’t ask for any pointers.
