| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 22, 2007 Pours a clear copper red, barely a head at all that goes to nothing and stays that way. Aroma is biscuit malts. Flavor is biscuit malts bigtime, some caramel sweetness in the background and really is the perfect amount. Noble hops to add to the crispness of this beer. Biscuit malt aftertaste with some lingering sweetness, god I love the flavor of that malt, the toasty taste to it is so freakin drinkable that I had to slam the only bottle I had of this. Really for it’s style it’s good. cbrixius (136), Newberrytown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 20, 2007 Poured a clear reddish brown with a slight white head. Aroma of sweet malts with a small amount of hops in the background. On first sip, a noticeably sweet and fruity profile. Relatively smooth and simple. Overall, a nice ale. 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 3, 2006 My mother brought me back a growler of this stuff from Memphis. It’s not too terrible, and actually (most likely not on purpose) avoids some of the pitfalls I’ve come to expect from amber. Aroma is blunt, dull, steel wool, malt extract. Pours with a very little head. Taste is more of the same, though steers clear of the boringashell caramel that usually taints amber. Hops taste a bit cheap but aren’t too bad, and this isn’t ver astringent. Drinkable. Certainly not a drain pour, as other beers I’ve given this score have been. hopscotch (5483), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Draft... Clear golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. Earthy, musty nose with a note of toffee. Tangy flavor. Light to medium-bodied with soft carbonation. Watery, tangy finish. muenster (340), Sevierville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Draught from brewery. Pours an average amber reddish color, with a medium sized white head. Caramel is very noticable in the aroma, but there is also some citrus. Flavor is a bit thin, but is the same caramel, citrus, and malt. Another average outing from Smoky Mountain Brewing.
