This rich, amber ale is smooth, mildly hopped and brewed with a special mixture of four different types of malted barley. It is full bodied and satisfying with a slight fruity note.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with Suttree (thanks!). Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, toasted malts, and light citrus. Tastes of pretty much the same. Thinner body.

Draft... Clear golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. Earthy, musty nose with a note of toffee. Tangy flavor. Light to medium-bodied with soft carbonation. Watery, tangy finish.

Bottle courtesy of tronraner. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of earth, dough. Tastes malty and tangy. Pretty middle of the road.

Draft sampler at Pigeon Forge. Poured an amber color with a moderate fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Light sour citrus hop aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of short duration.

Medium copper colored body with some bright yellow amber at the edges when held to light. There is a thin bright white head on top. The nose is grainy, nearly raw, like boiling wort. There is also some pecans and a little bit of hay. The taste was light with nutty pecans and some more raw grains. Easy to drink and smooth with a decent overall sweetness. There was very hops to taste.

On draught Feb 2005 at Calhoun’s (not the Bearden hill location, but the one right on the river). Hmm, this looks overated. It does have a good auburn-brown color, but the head quickly fizzles and it is terribly clear and kind of looks like it was water with food coloring splashed in. Smells of cheap sour-like yeast, cheap sticky sweet syrupy corn and cheap malt. No hops. The aroma can at least be smelled, but it sure isnt very pleasant. Gross corn syrup flavor, just foul tasting. Watery at the end. I was only able to drink half of my pint over the whole course of dinner. Barf.
