Aroma is very mild, maybe a bit of bread and spiciness. Flavor is immediately sweet malts, quickly followed by a spicy grain taste, and finished with the flavor of lingering biscuits. zborgerd (185), Mchenry, Illinois, USA

Nice hop and malt balance with a lightly spiced finish that is hard to describe. One of the more interesting beers on tap there. Perhaps a tad watery, but certainly didn’t stop me from putting down a few 32 ouncers of this. The restaurant and this beer are some of the few things that saved me from the hellhole known as Gatlinburg. NachlamSie (1653), Tennessee, USA

The aroma is malty sweet but quite faint. The body is pretty thin too. The initial flavor was rather bland, just a syrupy sweetness but there was a fair smoky, leafy, herbal flavor in the finish which compounded with each sip and saved this beer from being completely trite.

Pours a copper hue with a decent head. The nose is modest with hints of papery hops, caramel, leaves, biscuits. A touch of corn is present, but is easily ignored as I concentrate on the pleasant woody finish. This is a pretty straightforward Oktoberfest. Not my favorite, but certainly not the worst. tronraner (1938), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 24, 2005 Updated: Jan 18, 2006Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a transluscent but bold copper color with a thin, off-white head. The aroma is of grains, cereals, malts, and just a touch of earthy spices. It is a bit fizzy in the mouth. The flavor is burning leaves (not as bad as it sounds), toasted malt, faint sweetness, and some hay, and earthy hops are faintly detectable in the finish. Not really my style of beer, but pretty good for what it is. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA
