slang (392), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Oct 22, 2009 bottled. "A delicious dark ale with an intriguing roasty character. It is rich and flavorful with a hint of bittersweet chocolate. " -exactly. A tad watery but still tasty. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 14, 2009 Some sort of glaring flaw, it could have been just this batch... I’m wondering if the brewmaster even tasted it, as it was terrible. Perhaps the lines weren’t cleaned the night before or something as well. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Jul 27, 2009 Not a bad porter, sweet, roasted. easy to drink. Nothing terribly standout about it, but then again nothing horrid to report about it. I wouldn’t get it again because i’m not a huge fan of porters, but if i was i think it would be a good choice at this place. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA Jul 26, 2009 Bottle from Steph’s parents. The pour was a standard dark brown with ruby highlights and a wispy tan head. The aroma was nice with caramel and marshmallow and some chocolate. The flavor was almost milk chocolate with toasted caramel malt. Had some similarities to a milk stout to me. The mouthfeel was thin and the finish clean which was nice since it was overall a pretty sweet brew. f351c4v (404), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, USA May 21, 2009 On tap @ Turkey Creek. Pours a deep brown with a quickly disappearing tan head. A hint of roastiness in the aroma, body of a flat cola is a bit of a turnoff. Decent amount of chocolate up front, hint of caramel on the finish. Seems a bit off... topherh (878), Kearney, Missouri, USA May 20, 2009 Pours brown with a tan head. Toasty malt aroma.
