Bottle: Deep brown pour with a ruby hue and a tan fading head (becomes a film). Softly roasted aroma- dark crystal, nutty notes mesh with a rich chocolate presence. Light fluffy feel- light texture yet decent malt depth- roasted crystal with a pumpernickel notes and a rich natural chocolate presence. Simple, but solid profile.

12oz bottle. Brown color with a thin tan head. Malty aroma with not much going on. Flavor of stale coffee, sweet malt and smoke. Not so good.

On draft at calhoun’s with suttree. A bit on the dry side. Old, chalky, and vegetal. Very sweet. Cool label though.

Thanks Lithyh! Very dark brown with a tan head, creamy coffee aroma. Thick mouthfeel, milk chocolate and very sweet, but there’s something spoiled on the edges that I can’t figure out.

Receiped a 12-oz bottle via trade with Ilithy. Pours a semi-clear cola brown brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of toasted dark malt, a hint of coffee and dark chocolate and roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, toasted dark malt, some chocolate and roasted hazelnuts. Finish is semi-sweet and has a toasted dark malt aftertaste with no bitterness. An average porter yet still quite tasty.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Lithy. Pours a muddy dark brown with 1/4" tan head. Aroma is coffee and cocoa. Flavor is cocoa, coffee, milk chocolate, but with an odd chalky feel. Despite the chalk, I enjoyed it and I suspect this will be the best of the Smoky Mountain brews I got from Lithy.

Bottle: Dark brown pour with a finger of beige head. Aroma is lightly roasty with mostly coffee coming through. Tastes sweet and full of cocoa. Light roasty element. Light bitters in the tail. A bit more roasty and coffee notes as it warms to room tmep. Not bad. Thanks Lithy.
