12oz bottle, no date thanks to NachlamSie. Clear dep brown with a film and a ring of beige for a head. Chocolate grainy malts, wet dirt, and that’s about it. Flavor had a fair amount of roasted grain, tangy light raisins, and a dry ashy finish. Sweet until the finish. Low carbonation with a medium body. Better than I thought it’d be.

12 oz. bottle from Suttree, enjoyed with tjthresh. Pour is brownish-ruby, very wispy tan head. Aroma of roast coffee, a bit of malt. Taste of thin, slightly roast coffee. A bit of malt watered down iced coffee (thanks for lifting my phrase Tom). Thin body made this drinkable, but not terribly exciting. Thanks for this one Phil, always love trying new beers!

Pour is clear dark brown with some garnet hues. Very light head.
A bit of a chocolate nose with some dirty smoke character.
Tim mentioned that it tastes a lot like iced coffee, and I can’t come up with a better description, so I’ll steal his.
Really thin. Average carbonation. Dry finish.
Its beer. That’s about all I can say about it.

On tap knoxville. A dark brown pour with a bit of malt on the nose and not much more. A light flavor of toasted malt. The mouthfeel was just thin, carbonation was ok just like the beer ok. Nothing bad at all outside the palate but not much special.

Kind of a lame excuse for a porter. Exceptionally light mouthfeel, not at all chewy like I felel a good porter should be. Sweet with some roasted coffee flavors. A little dry in the finish. Fair at best.

Bottle. Sour malt, walnut, and charcoal aroma. Dark black-brown with moderate head. Creamy chocolate malt and charcoal flavor. Mild bitter finish. Decent but just a bit heavy on the carbon flavor for me.

Draft sample at the brewpub in Pigeon Forge. Poured a clear dark brown color with a medium off-white frothy head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium roasted malty aroma. Medium body. Medium roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of average duration. Best of the sample set.
