This offering is a deep red that makes it look black and had only the slightest hints of a brown head. The aroma and the flavor both show hints of roasted coffee and some smoke qualities but in the end it is a bit weak and watered down. adrian910ss (1428), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 22, 2007 Black pour, white head that faded to nothing and stayed. Aroma is roasted malts. Flavor is roasted malts, sweet milk chocolate, oats. Chocolatey aftertaste and a bit of earthy hops as well. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body and very easy drinking with the oats staying the whole time. Overall a well made stout that I could see as a good dark beer for beginners, solid and easy drinking. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 14, 2007 My daughter were visiting University of Tennessee and we enjoyed dinner at Cahoun’s on the lake Loudon/Tennessee River. Great resturant in Knoxville. We had a wonderful meal and I enjoyed their Porter. The roasted malt and chocolate flavors were very drinkable. The color was a deep black. It had no head. It was pleasure to have a porter made locally.
