I unhappily took the bottle out of my cellar, knowing that I should drink it as fresh as possible even though I had many better options. I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. To me (with little lager experience), this a well refined and great example of the style. Aroma is light, saazy and spice, corn, cream of wheat, brown sugar. Taste is and good combination of both sweet (at the start) and dry (at the finish), with light hops, bread, ginger. Very drinkable, perfect carbonation and palate. I’m going totally against the grain here on this one. hopscotch (5501), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Draft... Clear, straw-colored lager with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Great retention. Herbal, earthy nose with a pinch of white pepper. Lightly sweet, mildly tangy flavor with just a touch of bitterness. Light to medium-bodied and delicately creamy with modest carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 9, 2006 Pours a nice golden hue, but upon sipping the grass notes and watery consistence prove out. Tastes of wheat, with a hint of hops and the slightest suggestion of floral notes. Not a bad brew for a hot summer day...just not a very good one either. cewldre (268), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

I might have to try this one again on another visit. There was not taste going on here. I think it got itself confused with another style. cbkschubert (2002), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Very light carbonation. Big time grassy hop aroma with some grain thrown in there. Not alot of flavor here. Both malt and hop flavors come through lightly. A smooth, medium body beer. Decent light lager. Thanks Steve. Fightfire4beer (125), Virginia, USA

Lol, taste is of corn and sour mash. Still better than BMC... but this must have been a bad batch or something. One point deduction for what has to be the dumbest bottle art ever. The picture on here doesn’t do it justice... it’s just goofy!
