Smoky Mountain Windy Gap Wheat

Oh my god this was crap. where was the carbonation? where was the flavor? it has wheaty, but not fruit, spice. It was just so flat and watery. there was no body. almost undrinkable.

Sample at Calhoun’s, Knoxville, TN. pours hazy golden straw, white head. aroma and taste, grainy, wheat, some green tea leaf touch, a little too simple but interesting to drink.

From a minikeg. Slightly hazy dirty yellow with two fingers of pure white head. Lightly grassy spice notes and light lemon citrus. Taste is thin, sweet with a sour bite at the end. Not enough wheat.

Draft at Gatlinburg location. Hazy lighter yellow in the glass with a white head that settles but renews with a twirl of the glass. The aroma was off on this one, possibly a dirty glass, but it was of sour milk. The flavor seemed more normal with wheat, lemon, and light spices. Light body and lively carbonation. Dry finish.

Aroma of wheat and bannanas. Cloudy yellow pour with off white head and lace. Very nice lemony flavor with a hint of hop bitter on the finish. Surprising mouthf feel and carbonation. Just a tad thin. A very refreshing drinker.

on tap-pours a white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is wheat, light fruit, perfumy. Taste is wheat, light fruit, perfumy, very faint spice. Smooth.

Draft smapler at Smky Mtn Brewery in Gatlinburg. Pretty average wheat. would be better as a ufo. Worth a try.

Tap at brewery. Lemon and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy light amber color with moderate head. Primarily lemon flavor with hint of grapefruit - minimal malt and no hops. Slight lemon peel bitterness to finish. Light refreshing beer - would be better with more malt flavor.
