The roasted flavors are those of nuts, chocolate, dark candied fruits, a smoke swig of nuttiness, and lots of roasted toffee/coffee/wheat/malted barley flavors. Perfect porter here. Complexity and comfort all in one with semi-sweet chocolate dominating the aroma with bitter hops and dairy in their as well. Flavor is more of the same with what reminds me of a hefty wood in their to balance some sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied but very creamy and a light fizz at the end from the carbonation. Well rounded tasty brew. Thanks Smuttynose. 2009 22 oz. on recommendation from Scott at Oak Tree Buy Rite. TampaBrew (805), Tampa, Florida, USA
