Commercial Description:
Native to northern Europe, Baltic porters evolved from British porters once exported to the Russian hinterland. Unlike their British cousins, Baltic porters are often brewed as lagers, the tradition we’ve followed. This beer is big, bold & smooth, with malty flavors reminiscent of coffee, dark fruit & raisins. Share one with your comrades!

22 ounce bottle from jjpm74. Pour dark chocolate syrup brown with a lighter brown head. The nose is of a mocha with too much chocolate. It may be a flaw in coffee, but not so much here. Robust flavors. Coffee, fudge, raisins, chewing tobacco, and some ashy smoke. Really good. Huge body. The carbonation is a bit prickly. Dry roasted finish. This is really a wonderful beer.

Easily in my top five favorite beers. Perhaps the best of Big Beer series. Smutty has created a fruity, chocolate and coffee dessert of a beer. Rich and complex, this one needs to be enjoyed like wine. Share the bottle! Found at Jasper’s in Nashua.

I think this bomber came from either JB175 or Beastiefan2K. Thanks to whoever got this to me as an extra! Black pour with a small brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and milk? Has a tad bit of booze too. Flavor is rich and a little bitter. Smooth and creamy.

Bottle shared with Midetd. Pours a pitch black with a nice tan head. Has a medium mouthfeel with a black body. Smells like a full body brew with heavy hops. Tastes like I am getting a hop blast with some leather and earth. Overall a nice brew.

2008 22oz bottle. Pours pitch black with a creamy brown head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, and a bit of fruit. Big flavor, roasted coffee with dark fruits and a lingering roasted aftertaste. Great beer.

Pours a very dark brown with a medium height, foamy, light brown head. Aroma is very chocolaty, with notes of raisins, coffee, and molasses. Initial taste is a pretty complex fruit filled sweetness. The body is very creamy and the finish is a long drawn out coffee malt flavor.

Pours dark dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of toffee, chocolate, caramel, and roast. Taste of chocolate, toffee, and dark fruit. Has a bitter, but not overwhelming coffee finish. Velvety mouthfeel and mrdium carbonation. Excellent beer.
