| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 1, 2008 Bottle: Near black pour with a large, fluffy tan head. Clumpy lacing. Sweet aroma of dark fruits, mocha, roastiness, and a heavy coffee presence. Flavor is heavy with coffee up front, but it almost seems like there is a creamer in the tail? Plenty of roast and a little bittersweet dark chocolate. Smooth and creamy mouthful. Enjoyable. Thanks to The_Epeeist for this trade item. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 20, 2008 Bottle from Sean. He bought this one for me when he was in PA, and despite ass raping me with his mark up + PA markup, I was such a nice guy I figured I would share it with him. Pours out black with a small tan head. Smell is rich, malty, chocolate, coffee, and sweetness - no alcohol at all is present in this one. Taste sweet and rich, very smooth, easy to drink, high carbonation - yet not overwhelming. A great beer from a brewery that doesnt get much recognition (which is fine with me - more for me). Thanks Sean. Glad I drank 21.75 oz and you got the other .25 for your rating. jimhilt (1691), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2008 22 oz. bottle purchased at Capone’s in Norristown, PA. Bottle Conditioned in 2008 according to the label. Pour is opaque black, with a dense 2 inch tan head. Small (audible) carbonation bubbles rise to the surface of the head as it settles. Nice lacing left behind as the head fell slowly. Aroma of roasted coffee grounds, tobacco and some faint pine hoppiness. Taste represents the nose well, though the pine hoppiness is much more pronounced, with a decided bitterness to it. The start is sharp malted barley roastiness, the middle reveals the earthy smoky tobacco, and the finish is the crisp and bitter hops. As it warms, a bit of dark chocolate sweetness is picked up. Also some licorice. The palate is medium, which works well to position this beer as a Baltic Porter. Overall, this was a tasty, complex, easy to drink brew. sloth (1683), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Small light brown head, good retention and a nice scattered lacing. Black in color, opaque. Darkly fruity nose, hint of raisin, chocolate, cocoa with a light roastiness. Body is med/full, silky on the palate. Choco roast flavors up front, medium sweet malts, light black patent notes, notes of vanilla bean, coffee and some berry notes as well. An almost dry, roasty finish. May not be a Baltic Porter exactly to style but it,s damn tastey stuff for sure. Bottle procured @statelineliquors. douglas88 (1675), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 7, 2009 22oz bottle thanks big time to Cletus, 2008 vintage. Pours a very dark hue with a medium creamy brown head. The instant I open this beer a aroma wafts out that instantly tells me I am in for a awesome drink. The aroma is rich roasted malts, dark fruits and cocoa- not an overwhelming nose. The flavor was excellent; instantly I get my fix for my favorite flavor; loads of rich oily dark fruits. Very nice. There is tons of toasted cocoa and light coffee as well. Silky and fruity at first, as it warmed the burnt flavors of cocoa were more prevalent. Overall, top notch. A gem.
