Commercial Description:
Native to northern Europe, Baltic porters evolved from British porters once exported to the Russian hinterland. Unlike their British cousins, Baltic porters are often brewed as lagers, the tradition we’ve followed. This beer is big, bold & smooth, with malty flavors reminiscent of coffee, dark fruit & raisins. Bottle via trade from ben4321. Thanks, Ben, this beer was awesome. Pours black with a thick tan head and good retention. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, roast, smoke, and dark fruit. Flavor is smoky with some meaty notes (which is a good thing IMO). Also roasted malt, coffee, rich chocolate, berries, and raisins. Palate is smooth and creamy with fairly full body and lingering smoke. Really good Baltic porter overall.

bottle from Santa. Thanks Matt! black pour with tan head. aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. Flavor is very nice dark chocolate, dark fruits, some roasty malt notes. Flavor is so rich and chocolatey. Really, stunning and standout for smuttynose. Full on the balate with roasty alcohol finish. Excellent.

22 oz bottle. Pours a pitch black, thick color, solid thick dark tan head. Aroma is malts, chocolate, notes of dried fruits. Flavor is pretty phenomenal - creamy coffee and chocolate notes, full bodied. Alcohol is slightly present, but not overwhelming. A nice beer to let warm which allows additional flavors and aromas to be released.

Bottled. Pours cola black with a brown ring around the edges. Smooth aroma of roasted nuts and coffee. Same in the flavour except a slight background of menthol smoke. Enjoyable

Bottle. Dark brown pour, some tan head. Aroma is some sweet malt, meat, smoke, chocolate, and roasted malt. The flavor is similar, sweet chocolate malt, and some light smoke / meaty flavor in the back and finish. The carbonation was a bit too high though.

Poured almost a black color with a tan head. Aroma was very boozy, and kind of dry, but with some hints of sweet chocolate. Flavor was much the same, very roasted like most baltic porter, not too sweet, and a bit too boozy for only being 8.7%.
