Sep 15, 2009 This as a very good porter. I enjoyed it a great deal. It’s roasted malt character is prefectly displayed with in the robust brew.

May 11, 2008 Bottle courtesy Degarth. Pours black with a one finger tan head that fades leaving some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and dark fruit. Taste is the same as aroma with a hint of caramel. Medium full mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness with warm but never hot alcohol. Very good.

Feb 17, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Courtesy mgumby10. Pours pitch black, with a watery and slightly creamy tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma is roasted espresso and sweet chocolate. I like where this is going. Roasted malts, warming chocolate, and some slight alcohol. Surprisingly a bit thin-bodied. Like this one a lot.

Aroma: Coffee, chocolate, roasted malts
Appearance: Dark brown color, 3 fingers of fluffy brown head, lots of lacing
Flavor: Big maltiness, burnt, some faint smokey, with the same flavors apparent in the nose, some licorice, light bitterness, but really just a malt bomb all over
Palate: A bit on the oily side, medium to full body, chewy and creamy
Overall Impression:
I believe this is my first Baltic Porter, and I found it to be quite tasty. A nice beer indeed. I’m glad this is my first from the style, because it is pretty tasty, making me want to try more Baltic Porters.

Sep 10, 2009 I drank this beer while watching my beloved alma mater Oregon lose to Boise State in the infamous game where LeGarette Blount punched a guy in the face during post-game. Oregon coach Chip Kelly is a New Hampshire native, so I figured it would be a tribute. Despite all that, this beer was still tasty as hell, very roasty with some oat, chocolate and coffee. Nice deep brown color as well. Tasty damn beer, too bad it couldn’t bring a victory.

Sep 27, 2008 Pours a deep black color like used motor oil. Tall brownish tan head. Powerful aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and hops. Thick consistency. Roasted malts, hops, and chocolate flavors. Big, complex. Very stout-like. Great beer!

Apr 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours black and oliy with light milk chocolate head. I knew this beer was gonna be good because I took one sip and my wife said I smell’d of alcohol. Aroma of dark fruit, chocolate and burntness. Flavor the same with sweet chalky finish. Not a bad brew here, I liked it alot. Only thing is as I go to the end of the glass the taste was straight rubbing alcohol.

Feb 18, 2008 Pours a very dark black. Aromas of chocolate, roast, woodsmoke, and dried fruit. Full mouthfeel with dominant coffee flavors. Very dry finish. There’s an initial burst of plummy, vinuous fruit which is quickly overwhelmed by the coffee. I can’t complain too much, but I would have liked less malts and more of the fruit. Still, an exceptional porter. One of my favorite styles.
