Lots of roasted malts in aroma with notes of coffee and chocolate. Smooth bodied. Flavour contains a great roastyness that together with the chocolate, coffee and smoky notes makes this a great beer indeed! Ofortuna (322), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA

Much darker than I was initially thinking. Deep aromas and flavours of raisins, bittersweet chocolate, candied fruit. A bit of coffee and a vinous character. A little bit of brewers licorice on the back end. Good balance between the hop profile and malt backbone. Good viscosity which gave a nice sensation for the mouthfeel. Very nice representation of a baltic porter and another solid offering by Smuttynose. Miver (575), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA

Mouth feel has a nice breadiness, with tastes of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits. Seams highly carbonated which seems to bring out a slight alcohol warming in the finish. Pretty good. hophead75 (1964), Boonton, New Jersey, USA

Aroma: Chocolate, and heavily roasted malt, light hints of ash. Taste is alot of chocolate, and roasted malt with a big moderately sweet creamy body. Very smooth- finishes with some lightly acrid, bitter roasted grain. Thought this was great. waolsen (1224), Littleton, Colorado, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 10, 2009 I drank this beer while watching my beloved alma mater Oregon lose to Boise State in the infamous game where LeGarette Blount punched a guy in the face during post-game. Oregon coach Chip Kelly is a New Hampshire native, so I figured it would be a tribute. Despite all that, this beer was still tasty as hell, very roasty with some oat, chocolate and coffee. Nice deep brown color as well. Tasty damn beer, too bad it couldn’t bring a victory.
