Aroma of coffee, chocolate, dates, and sweet roasted malt. Flavor is of roasted malt, with hints of cocoa, mocha, bitter espresso, alcohol, and some piney hops to round out the finish. Pours a thick black with a large fluffy brown head that leaves good lacing. Aroma has some nice roast and caramel malts with a touch of cinnamon and dark fruits. Nose is roast, dark fruit, spice, dark chocolate, slight boozy raisins, and some alcohol burn. Flavor is mellow baltic porter, lots of great roast and fruit. Flavor finishes with slightly dry roast. Pours a dark black with a beautiful dark tan head that persists until the very end of the glass. Aroma of coffee and roast. Flavor of coffee, roast, chocolate, slight raisin as the beer warms. This is a thick, rich beer, very reminiscent of an imperial stout. Very creamy. Excellent.
