Dec 7, 2006 A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also hints of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty again with caramel being most dominant, but also the alcohol showing itself off with a slight burn.

Feb 20, 2005 Updated: Apr 27, 2005Bottled. Clear reddish brown, no head. Appley vodka aroma with some grapefruit and toffee. Very sweet with syrupy mouthfeel. Resiny bitter finish. The malt flavours are drowning in a thick blanket of syrup.

Dec 15, 2006 Bottle. Nice and malty, bonbon, pepper aroma. Hazy red/brown colour. Small white head. The flavour has a good alcohol bite, but it is nicely balanced by the sweetness and some of the same notes as in aroma.

Oct 6, 2003 Rich, vibrant blood orange colour. Rich malty nose (brown sugar, peaches, biscuits, stroop). Thick body showing alcohol (stronger than the 7% indicated), peaches, oranges, and loads of earthy, sticky malt like sponge toffee. Sweet finish.

Apr 19, 2004 Hazy copper body topped by medium beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, spruce, biscuit, light caramel. Taste is sweet, strong malty, caramel, fruity (strawberry), grapefruit, some alcohol. Finish has a nice alcohol warming/burn. Full bodied.
