Bottle. Hazy amber/orange color with large tan head. Fruity aroma. The taste was mildly fruity with some caramel and bitter hops in the back ground. Smooth mouthful with good balance for a barley wine. Not too sweet and not too bitter just right.

Nice malty hop aroma. Good amount of bitterness throughout which balances the alcohol quite well. A decent barleywine, which I think benefited from being laid down for a year.

Pours a cloudy copper topped by medium beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, piney, some biscuit, toffee and light caramel. Flavor has a nice strong malt backbone, caramel, dark fruit and grapefruit. Finishes long and sweet with a slight alcohol burn.. Full bodied, resiny texture.

Many more thanks to Dorwart for this suprise brew. Poured into a nice warm dark orange hazy with a thin head on top. Aroma of apricot, spice and heavy malt. Flavor is a tastey natural barley wine. Lots of malt that gets in my mouth and really sticks to the palate. Earth notes and some sweeter tones come out over time as the alcohol presence seeps in a bit further. All aroun good stuff, wish I could find this in Ohio during the snowey nights.

Light amber color with a smallish head with a malty aroma. This tasted every bit of the 10% it claims to be with more malt and vanilla.

Bottle: ABV nose, some citrus, some carmel. Nice orange amber color. Tad hazy. Small head that tappered quickly. Sweet, bitter and astringent. Creamy, with linguring bitter finish, again bit astringent. Nice job overall, though the ABV seems more than 7%
